Alcide. Lille. Comme à la maison. Feels like home.
Restaurant Alcide. Lille.
Restaurant Alcide. Lille. The preliminary visit the website leaves me a mixed impression .. After a charming verse history, the introduction of the brewery is in two sentences: "For your business or private events (banquets, seminars ...) we can offer you drinks included." And "All modes of payment are accepted except for off-site checks and checks vacation. ". In other words, the hotel offers packages advantageous for bus of tourists paying cash. Sales volume is great! Bus or no bus, I still decided to go there with a friend. After being welcomed into a reception hall, we are placed at a table near the window. Sober decoration in the dominant red, nice placemats and impeccable service. The next table is occupied by four males of forty years. Totally relaxed, three of them discussed about when exchanging their week of skiing holidays to cover the fourth extramarital somersaults that their is, of course, grateful. With a glass of red wine, I take a look at the menu with French dishes and some regional specialties. Envy is shy. After 5-10 minutes of reading and rereading, I ordered a chicken fillet lacquered with honey and balsamic and spinach tagliatelle. 17 euros from memory. The tasting runs short, the mass of overcooked starch has announced the taste but I do not find the taste of honey nor vinegar of Modena. Poultry is just caramelized, nothing more. To conclude, the dish is common and should take 15 minutes to prepare at home counting the cooked pasta. The first impression is always good.
